Theriot, Duet & Theriot. Inc. (TDT) was started in 1957 by Leon Theriot, Norman Theriot, and Louis Duet. These gentlemen concentrated their efforts on bringing superior insurance expertise to the growing commercial segment of Bayou Lafourche. TDT has grown over this period to be one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Lafourche Parish.
In 1994, Lynn Pierce purchased the majority of the interest in the agency. At a later date, David Orgeron became a minority shareholder in the agency. In 2024, Danielle Plaisance purchased all the interest and is the sole shareholder of the agency. Since 1957, the agency has remained in the same family for 3 generations.
TDT is located on Bayou Lafourche in Golden Meadow, LA. The clientele ranges from the small "Mom and Pop" companies to the larger Marine and Property and Casualty Markets. The agency has elected to remain independent thus being able to keep a closer relationship with their client base. TDT has a well-established network relationship with other independent agencies that affords them the ability to market and service accounts well outside of the Bayou Lafourche area.
Danielle D. Plaisance

Danielle D. Plaisance has been employed at the agency since 2006. She recently purchased the business in 2024. She is an insurance agent that specializes in Commercial Lines.
Danielle is married to Timmie Plaisance and has two daughters. When she is not working she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
